“Euphoria” “The White Lotus” actress Sydney Sweeney will star in the upcoming psychological horror film “Immaculate”Black Bear Pictures announced Friday that they had acquired the company.
The film brings together Sweeney and Michael Mohan (director).“The Voyeurs”), who will direct from a script by Andrew Lobel.
Sweeney plays the role of Cecilia, a devout woman who is offered a new position at an Italian convent. Cecilia’s warm welcome in the idyllic Italian countryside is quickly interrupted when it becomes apparent that her new home holds some dark and terrifying secrets.
In January 2023, principal photography will start.
Jonathan Davino and Sweeney will co-produce Fifty-Fifty Films with David Bernad.“The Mule,” “The White Lotus”After their collaboration, he and Sweeney developed the project together. “The White Lotus,”Black Bear is produced by Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler. Sweeney most recently scored the lead role in Sony’s “Barbarella” reboot and in Universal Pictures’ “The Caretaker,” as well as starring in Sony’s upcoming Marvel adaptation, “Madame Web.”Her best-known work is in HBO’s hits “Euphoria” “The White Lotus”She was nominated for an Emmy in both the film and the movie She has also appeared in “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “Sharp Objects” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
Mohan is most known for writing and directing Amazon Studios’ steamy erotic thriller “The Voyeurs,”Co-creating, executive producing and executive producing the Netflix Original Series “Everything Sucks.”
An Emmy winner for HBO’s “The White Lotus,” Bernad recently executive produced the series’ upcoming second season. He executive produced HBO’s upcoming limited series “The White House Plumbers,”Lionsgate is currently producing an untitled Christmas comedy. He was previously the executive producer of the television series. “Superstore,” “The Bold Type,” “Enlightened.” Bernad’s feature film credits include “Bad Trip”Netflix and “The Mule”Warner Bros.
