Surveillance video captured the moment the 77-year-old cyclist veered into the road and was tragically struck by an oncoming car, leading to her untimely death. Grey had been sentenced to three years in prison in March of the previous year following her conviction for manslaughter.

Court of Appeal Overturns Grey’s Conviction

In a landmark decision, three judges at the Court of Appeal deemed Grey’s conviction “unsafe” and overturned it. Dame Victoria Sharp, presiding alongside Mrs Justice Yip and Mrs Justice Farbey, asserted that the prosecution’s case did not provide enough evidence to warrant a conviction by a jury.
