Woman Poisoned by Napkins “Kidnappers” Left in Her Car Door

Tragic case of Eliza Fletcher has put a spotlight on more stories of potential attempted abductions/kidnappings in the media cycle, of which there are sadly many examples of how potential abductors stalk and implement nefarious strategies to try and lure people into vehicles, or catch them unawares.

There was a story that went viral in 2018 about a woman finding a shirt stuck to her car. She also noticed it was sandwiched by two cars. The woman learned later that traffickers would place an item in a vehicle that belonged to a female, and then, when that lady would remove it, the men would abduct her.

Now, a TikTok video has gone viral that shows a tactic similar to this one but with far scarier results.

Erin Dawn posts as Erin Dawn on TikTok. @samanthalewis078 She recorded and posted a video of four minutes online in which she describes a frightening experience that involved her car’s door handle, a piece of paper, and an unknown chemical. The sheet was soaked with a substance that caused negative effects to the woman’s body.

She writes in a text overlay for the video, “Beware they are desperate for souls” referring to the kidnappers.

She tells us, “I’d like to share my experience yesterday at my birthday with all of you.” It was a wonderful day that turned into the most terrifying experience of my entire life. We decided to visit Prospect Park, on Houston’s North Side for Taco Wednesday before going to the Spa.”

She explained that, “I was immediately rushed into the hospital and never got to go to the birthday dinner or spa.” You may be wondering how I got a napkin stuck in my car door after eating.

Erin then recreated the recording by re-creating a napkin that was in the car door handle.

When I first saw it, I picked it up using my fingers…and threw it away. Even though I did not touch the towel, guess what? I opened the door using my fingers. I asked my spouse, ‘Didn’t you put a hanky in my door’? And he said, “No,” I went to the store and bought some hand sanitizer …”

Erin said that she is a bit of a germaphobe. She went back into the restaurant and washed her hands. But then, she reported, “my fingertip started tingling.” Erin dismissed the feeling at first, thinking it was nothing. She decided to not tell her husband right away.

After about 5 minutes, my arm started tingling, then started feeling numb. I became light-headed and felt as if I could not breathe. I also got very hot. He told me to relax and to drink water ….just breath.

Erin said that she had taken several deep breaths, and her husband called 9-1-1 as they were not in their normal area and “didn’t know the location of the nearest emergency department”. The couple was informed by emergency services of the location of the closest hospital. She arrived and told the staff what happened.

She claimed to have been at the location for about “six and a half hour [and that] Doctors said that I had an acute poisoning caused by a substance unknown. It was too little to tell what it was, but it was enough for me to be messed-up. Imagine if I had grabbed the whole thing with my hand. I could have been dead, right? So I recorded this just to warn you.

After a brief cut she continued by saying that the doctor informed her that this substance could have “been a possible attempt at kidnapping, so…just to everyone all of the women in Houston or anywhere else…just please be very careful whenever you go out. Just be aware of your surroundings. Take care.

She ends the video by thanking her husband for being present at the time of the attempted poisoning. Just to help, calm down and get me to the ER in time. You have some crazy people around the globe. This is something I could never imagine happening to me in my town. It could happen to you anywhere.

Another TikToker recently went viral for sharing her story about what she believed was a kidnapping when a male followed her to her pilates class and messed up her water bottle. He then tried to follow her and get her in his car after the class.
