It is not surprising that physical transformations are possible for roles. Movie magic isn’t always a part of the process, as was the case for Whoopi Goldberg in her most recent performance. Her work in historical drama film TillOne critic in particular noticed that, which was one of this year’s most talked-about upcoming movies, caught his attention. It was not for the right reasons. The writer incorrectly claimed Goldberg was wearing a shirt. “fat suit”The film.
After such an erroneous claim was made, Whoopi Goldberg took some time on this morning’s episode of The Viewto speak up and clear things. Here’s the entire story told by the actor, and what she had to say in response:
A young lady was writing for one of these magazines. She was distracted by my blog. ‘fat suit’ in her review. I’m just gonna say this: I don’t really care how you felt about the movie, you should know that was not a fat suit. This was me. That was steroids. Last year, I was very happy. [ill.] I assume you don’t watch the show, or you would have known that’s not a fat suit. But I just wanted to let you know it’s ok not to be a fan of a movie, but you want to leave people’s looks out. So just comment on the acting, and if you’ve got a question, ask somebody. Because I’m sure you didn’t mean to be demeaning.
Last summer, Whoopi Goldberg was admitted for sciaticaA nerve condition which is often treated with steroids injections. The side effects of that treatment, which include weight gain, overlapped with production on director Chinonye Chukwu’s biopic on the murder of Emmett Till. The result was a change in appearance which might have led some to believe there was a suit of fat clothing involved.
Oscar winner is well-known for her opinionated and sometimes controversial views. The View. That being said, it’s not like Whoopi Goldberg criticized her on her physical appearance.
