Who is Princess Eugenie’s son Ernest Brooksbank?

Ernest Brooksbank is the son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

The parents-of-two announced his safe arrival a week later on Instagram.

They were met with congratulatory messages from fellow famous friends and family, with Piers Morgan saying: “Many congrats to you all.”

Meanwhile, Carrie Johnson simply said: “Congratulations xxx.”

How old is Ernest Brooksbank and where was he born?

Ernest was born on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at at 8.49am weighing 7.1lbs.

He was born at London’s Portland Hospital, with Eugenie announcing his arrival six days after.

His older brother August was born at the same hospital.

Why did Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank call their son Ernest?

In a sweet caption on their Instagram post, Jack and Eugenie explained why they had chosen the name Ernest for their second son.

They said that they opted for the name in honour of their little boy’s “great great great Grandfather George” as well as “his Grandpa George” and Eugenie’s “Grandpa Ronald”.

They wrote: “Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs.

“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald.

“Augie is loving being a big brother already.”

Ernest’s great-great-great grandfather was King George V who also had Ernest as a middle name.

His middle name is also a tribute to dad Jack’s father George who passed away in 2021.

Why is Ernest Brooksbank not a prince?

The reason why Eugenie’s children don’t have titles is due to a royal rule.

Only children of the sovereign, children of the sons of the sovereign, and the oldest living son of the Prince of Wales are able to get the HRH status and prince and princess titles.

This means that Ernest and his older brother August, being great nephews of King Charles, are not granted titles.

Who are Ernest Brooksbank’s siblings?

Ernest has an older brother August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
