How to disable Last Seen
Meta, which now owns WhatsApp and announced privacy-focused updates to its service in the past year.
Users can now select people in their contacts list to see the date and time they were “last seen”.
In WhatsApp, you can disable your Last seen by changing your settings.
- Android: Tap more options > Settings > Privacy
- iPhone: Tap the settings icon in the bottom right corner > Account > privacy
- Desktop: Click menu > settings > privacy
Once you are inside your privacy settings you should see “Last Seen & Online.”
If you select this option, the screen shows you a variety of choices for those who may be able to see your Last Seen status.
According to your choices, you can change your settings such that your selected contacts only see your last use of the app or no one else.
