The university experience was not the only thing that brought them together.

Mikhaila spent four months at MU and spent weekends travelling to various cities on the East Coast. She visited New York City and Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Harrisburg, as well as New Jersey.
Maria, who has family in Puerto Rico was able to travel to Boston to see them more often.
She could also make short trips to New York City and Connecticut depending on her class schedule, or long weekends.
