Terrifying Chinese AI cam ‘tracks how hard students are concentrating in class’ in chilling vision of the future

According to reports, Chinese school students work in front of a camera with artificial intelligence that monitors their concentration.

The chilling footage shows how high-tech systems are allegedly tracking every movement of the pupils.

Chinese schoolchildren are reportedly monitored by AI cameras that measure their concentration

The cameras were supposed to monitor and measure the attention of schoolchildren.

A bizarre video showed the way that data is displayed about people and they are grouped into different groups using coloured banners.

The numbers that flash above the heads of students indicate how much movement is occurring.

Cameras are used to record a log of the child’s behavior in order to prevent distractions.

The Chinese surveillance system, similar to Big Brother’s in America, has raised some concerns.

Jennifer Zeng is a journalist from China who provides uncensored information. She described the video as “scary.”

She tweeted the video while trying to decipher the complex components of AI cameras that reportedly intimidate pupils.

A former researcher for the government who turned whistleblower said: “This shows how Chinese schoolchildren are watched in class.” The surveillance cameras detect every little movement.

They have labels that say lowering the head is 0.88, raising the head of another type, it’s 0.90, lying on the table, and lowering the head with holding the table.

Numbers that change constantly indicate how much the movement is changing.

I also think that the different colours are for different actions. The green is for standing in a different way. This person looks to be the teacher.

Red color is used to indicate a “raising of the head”. The pink hue is a good example. Color for “lowing the head”, yellow for “lying on the desk with head lying down”, orange for turning head, and blue for “lowering head while holding desk”.

Others, however, said that the collected data is merely dull analytics from online platforms such as Zoom or Moodle.

In 2018, a Chinese high-school revealed that they equipped classrooms with AI camera systems to monitor students, take attendance and keep track of their progress.

Hangzhou No. 11 High School said that they divided the students’ learning into six different categories based on their behaviour.

Vice principal Zhang Guanchao explains: “We’ve got a minimum.

“If a student’s classroom score is lower than that, it means this student is failing to focus during class time.”

Guanchao claims that the system notifies teachers, which constitutes a punishment threat. This is what prompts students to “voluntarily” change their classroom behaviour and habits.

It is also reported that the system tracks pupils’ feelings and expressions in an effort to ensure well-being.

2019 saw the introduction of a concept that aimed to teach obedience by having primary school children wear headgear with brainwave detection.

BrainCo’s head-mounted devices monitor attention spans and share the data with teachers as well as parents. Monitored attention spans, and then shared that data with both teachers and parents.

After videos were posted online about the device, privacy concerns were raised and it was quickly removed.

However, Teachers They claimed that they helped “real-time feedback on student engagement” and improved concentration in the classroom.

A teacher claimed that their students answered questions “louder” than usual and the headgear had “successfully increased efficiency during lesson.”

Some students were not impressed by the device, saying that they “felt controlled” while wearing it.

AI will be a major part of the classroom and educational system in the future.
