Saturday Night LiveThe Season 45 premiere is just a month away, but the show will return to NBC October without a veteran cast member. SNLLindsay Shookus, producer of the show, has resigned after many years behind-the scenes. She was a major player for many decades and some big names (including current) have been there. SNLKenan Thompson, the star of Star Trek) reached out to her after she announced the news.
Lindsay Shookus announced her resignation from NBC after more than 40 years of service and 20 years on the network. Instagram. During her tenure, the producer was nominated for ten Emmys. SNLShe won four. She also thanked the cast of the show, which included the legendary SNLLorne Michals, creator and producer. She wrote about what she plans to do after her departure:
I am excited about what lies ahead …. (Apparently there’s a thing called Brunch that people do on weekends?) I’m really looking forward to spending more time with my daughter, continuing my work with the SNL diversity scholarship, which I proudly helped to create and foster with the support of NBC Universal & my incredible SNL Talent Team, and devoting more energy to @womenworkfinghard, the organization I co-founded in 2018 to help women navigate their careers, build their businesses and (nowadays especially) advocate for their rights!
Shookus was clearly a favorite BTS player on the program. Cast members and past hosts expressed their appreciation in the comments of her Instagram post. SNLDuring her tenure, stars like Kenan Thomson, The Rock, Jason Momoa, and The Rock were included.
Kenan Thompson
Kenan Thompson was an SNLCast member who has been a mainstay for nearly 20 years and holds the record for the longest time in the role. SNLHis history (he appeared in more than 1,500 sketches). He has been with the show for almost as many years as Lindsay Shookus. Thompson began his career at the show in 2003 after Shookus was appointed producer. Thompson shared his thoughts with a quote from P.B. Kerr:

Shookus will surely be missed at Studio 8H as the cast prepares for a new season.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
The Rock is a member SNL’s “Five-Timers Club”This means that he has hosted it five times. He has appeared in many of the most memorable sketches and has formed bonds with cast members and behind the scenes professionals, such as Shookus. He responded to her post by saying:

Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa was the only host SNLOne time back in 2018, but she has returned for two cameos throughout the years. Shookus was the head of the show’s talent department during her time, so I’m sure she interacted with many stars like Momoa over the course of her decades-long tenure. Momoa wrote a touching message to Shookus, congratulating her.

From 2017 to 2019, Shookus were the most talked about in dating. “Five-Timers Club”Ben Affleck was a member of Ben Affleck when he rekindled his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. However, she has left behind a legacy. SNLThat goes well beyond a romantic relationship a few decades ago.
