Mama Joyce was not a fan of Todd and Kandi from the beginning. Mama Joyce referred to the couple’s marriage by saying, “Kandi made lemonade out of a lemon.”

It was revealed in Season 12 that Kandi’s mother was considering having one of Kandi’s children be her beneficiary to prevent Todd from handling her financial affairs.
Mama Joyce does not approve of Todd.

Mama Joyce said in an 2020 interview that, while she has no hatred for Todd, she believes he’s not a good match for Kandi.

They are getting on well now.

Early in 2022 it appeared that they had settled their differences. Kandi spoke to Insider The two men’s positions at the time were revealed.

Mama Joyce, at BravoCon 2022 in October, made it very clear that Todd and her relationship was a new beginning. In October 2022, Mama Joyce did not mince words when asked whether Kandi should be dating someone other than Todd.
