Forecasters warn that a STORM could cause snowplows to fall on parts of New York City in the coming days.
The weather front is expected to bring severe flooding to Watertown and Buffalo.

The lake-effect snowstorm is a phenomenon where a cold air mass picks-up moisture and swept over warm lake water. It will be a huge storm with cold weather that lasts into the weekend.
It forced New YorkGovernor Kathy Hochul will declare a state emergency in 11 counties. Snow alerts have been issued to five million.
Her office warned about dangerous road conditions.
They wrote: “Hazardous travel conditions and local power outages as a result of the storm are likely due to the combination of snow, ice, and wind in the forecast.”
They added: “Governor Hochul urged New Yorkers to stay alert and avoid unnecessary travel in the Buffalo and Watertown areas Thursday evening through Friday.”
Hochul had a storm briefing Thursday, as forecasters warned of a thundersnowstorm.
She tweeted: “Parts of Western New York, the Finger Lakes, Central New York, and the North Country are about to get their first snowstorm of the season, which means we need everyone in these impacted regions to be ready for dangerous travel conditions.”
The National Weather Service Buffalo office has stated that the storm has the potential for being “paralyzing”.

The NWS has been added: “Crippling lake-effect snow storm remains possible this period.”
National Weather Service meteorologist Jon Hitchcock told CNN: “This is going to be a very long-lasting and major lake-effect snow event east of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.”
New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Commissioner Jackie Bray said: “Despite the unseasonably warm weather of late, winter is here across upstate New York.
“Do NOT underestimate this storm.
“We expect snow to be heavy at times, creating dangerous conditions and significant accumulations to occur during the event.
“Now is the time to get prepared and have a plan.”
Bray stated that New Yorkers living in the affected areas who need to travel later in the week should take it slow, and add extra time for their commute.
“And we should all check on our neighbors, particularly vulnerable neighbors, to help them prepare for winter weather in the forecast.”
