He later became her mentor. How did Callow meet Christie, an aspiring actor? During an interview, she opened up about her journey. V Magazine2015 Christie stated to a school administrator that she was skilled at filing paperwork. She wanted to avoid the task of disassembling a stage which was an expectation for her school’s underclassmen.
Callow, at the time searching for an assistant, was then connected to her by the administrator. He set up an interview to Christie. She was nervous at first. “How do you go into that situation not feeling intimidated?”She spoke to The Guardian. “Maybe people do now, maybe millennials feel confident, I don’t know. Anyway, he answered the door and this kindness poured out of him.”Callow was a kindred spirit and Christie began to work as his dog walker.
Callow continued to lead the star as she attempted to make a name herself. “I suppose he coaxed me out of my shell when it came to being an actor,”The Guardian was informed by her.
