McDonald’s has given away its recipe for the popular sausage and egg McMuffin.

It is important to note that the word “you” means “you”. UK Twitter Account The simple four-step procedure was revealed in an article in 2020 by the international fast food chains.

While products may vary by region, the recipe below creates McMuffins that are exactly what you order when in the US.

“Craving a McMuffin? We’ve got you…,” wrote McDonald’s before sharing an infographic of the recipe.

Toast the English muffin until golden brown.

Cook a 2.5oz sausage on the grill, with some salt and black pepper.

In a frying-pan, you can crack the eggs to create perfectly round ones.

Two to three minutes. Cover the pan and let it cook.

After that, you can assemble the dish by placing a slice American cheese beneath the egg and patties.

McDonald’s fans were quick to share their enthusiasm for the at-home dupe.

One posted a photo of their creation and said it “Tasted almost as good as McDonald’s. ALMOST.”

“God bless you,” wrote another.

A third posted: “Homemade is good, but the OG is better.”

The price of a sausage and egg McMuffin at McDonald’s can vary by location but is $4.09 at a local store to The U.S. Sun.

How much would it cost to create one yourself?

The U.S. Sun looked at the Walmart Great Value line to see what the cost of each ingredient was.

The cost of a six-count English muffin pack is $1.58, or $0.26 per muffin.

The price of an eight-count package of sausage patties comes to $2.97 or $0.37 each.

One 12-count box of white large eggs costs $1.80, or $0.15 each.

A 24-count package of American singles costs $2.48, or just $0.10 per slice.

The total cost at home for the egg and Sausage Muffin is $0.88.

That’s less than a quarter of the price of the $4.09 McDonald’s item.
