Lashana Lynch has been cast as Rita Marley in Paramount Pictures’ Untitled Bob Marley biopic about the reggae legend, according to an individual with knowledge of the project.
Kingsley Ben-Adir will play the role of Bob Marley in the film’s title role.
Reinaldo Marcus, director of the Will Smith movie “King Richard,”Director of the film.
Zach Baylin was nominated in the Academy Award category. “Best Original Screenplay”Category for “King Richard”Green is the one who wrote the script.
Marley’s son and reggae artist Ziggy Marley will produce. Tuff Gong will produce Rita Marley, Cedella Marley. Robert Teitel also will produce.
Marley was 36 when he died from cancer in 1981. However, the Jamaican singer helped spread reggae music around the globe and changed the face of rock music by sharing his messages of peace and love through songs like “Love and Peace.” “Jammin’,” “No Woman No Cry,” “I Shot the Sheriff,” “Redemption Song”Many more. His greatest hits album “Legend”It has been sold over 12 million copies in the U.S., and is the most-sold reggae album.
