Computer security firm McAfee shared the signs on how you can tell if your smartphone has been compromised.
You may be horrified to discover your computer is infected because somebody has tried to steal your data.

Signs include app crashes frequently, increased data usage, battery draining quickly, pop-ups in abundance, and unfamiliar Apps appearing.
The McAfee website has compiled a list of five indicators that may indicate an infection on your iPhone, Android or tablet.
1. Apps that crash
App crashes are often the result of malware or a virus on your device.
It is normal that apps crash occasionally, but not often.
2. DATA USE INCREASE
If your data usage suddenly increases, it could be a sign that you have a virus running in the background.
You may also experience this if the virus uses your internet connection in order to download data or information.
3. EASY DRAIN BATTERY
Batteries are a common target for some viruses.
The battery of your device should not drain at a rapid rate. This could be a sign that it has become infected.
If you want to fix the problem, then it is important that the virus be removed.
4. This is a huge collection of Pop-Ups
Pop-up advertisements that appear when you close the browser are a sign of a virus.
Adware is a type of computer virus that can steal data from your system if you choose to click one.
5. UNFAMILIAR APKS
When an unidentified App appears on your device it may be malware or a virus that must be activated in order to cause damage.
Open the App only when necessary. Opening the app could cause the virus to activate.
