‘Firefly’, Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke, To End After Series 2 Netflix

FireflyThe drama series “The starring Katherine Heigl & Sarah Chalke” is now available for two seasons on Netflix.

Maggie Friedman is the creator of the series. However, it will not return for a second season.

The second season of the show will be 16 episodes long.

The first nine episodes of the series will be aired on December 2, and the second batch of seven episodes will debut in 2023.

In the series based on the novel by Kristin Hannah, when unlikely duo Tully (Heigl) and Kate (Chalke) meet at age 14, they couldn’t be more different. Tully is the brash and bold girl you can’t ignore, while Kate is the mousy shy girl you never notice. But when a tragedy brings them together, they are bonded for life — forever inseparable best friends. They go through 30 years together of triumphs and failures, joy and heartbreak. One goes on to fabulous wealth and fame, the other chooses marriage and motherhood, but through the decades, their bond remains — until it faces the ultimate test.

New cast members will be added to the second season, including Jolene Purdy, Greg Germann and Jolene Purdy.

They join Beau Garrett and Yael Jurman.

Friedman is the showrunner and executive producer of the series. Heigl, Shawn Williamson and Hannah also executive produce. Hannah co-executive producers.
