Stars who have left The Walking Dead, including actor ‘furious’ over character’s death

The Walking Dead has seen many stars leave the program, which brought back the zombie and horror genres on television. Stars are always greatly missed by fans, whether it’s because of the death or another job. It has lost many of its beloved cast to zombies over the years – here’s exactly why they were killed off.

The Walking Dead has concluded its 12th season after twelve years of survival strategies and chair-grabbing zombie battles. The epic tale will end on November 20.

Based on the comic series, the horror series was a catalyst for a revival in post-apocalyptic film and video games.

Since at least season 8, the original starring characters of the show, which included Rick Grimes, Carl Grimes and Dale Horvath among others, have been absent. The good news is that the actors weren’t forced out of the Walking Dead show; they opted to leave. However, one celebrity wasn’t pleased with how things went down, apparently.

The reasons these actors quit The Walking Dead or left the show

Jeffrey DeMunn

Now, if we’re talking about any actor who quit The Walking Dead, we have to mention Jeffrey DeMunn.

Jeffrey DeMunn added The Walking Dead (Series Premiere) to his impressive list of series. Dale Horvath is first seen as a survivor in Atlanta. He takes in Andrea, Amy and the rest of the survivors during the outbreak. He takes a special interest in the duo and becomes protective.

Despite Horvath’s long life in comic books, the fan-favorite character suddenly left the show in the final half of season 2.

Frank Darabont, the show’s developer, was close to DeMunn before they worked together on The Shawshank Redemption. Darabont exited the project after clashes with AMC and other parties over TWD’s creative direction. DeMunn, who was a loyal friend, followed Darabont. He claimed he was “furious”This is how the showrunner was dismissed.

“Dale’s death was my decision,”He said Cleveland.com.

“I was furious about how Frank was pushed out of the show. I spent a week not being able to take a full breath. And then I realized, ‘Oh, I can quit.’ So I called them and said, ‘It’s a zombie show. Kill me. I don’t want to do this anymore.’ It was an immense relief to me.”

Andrew Lincoln

It was only a matter time before series protagonist Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, was killed off the show. It was only season 9, and not earlier, that Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) was killed off.

The responsibility of leading the Alexandria Safe-ZoneLincoln, who was 49, felt it was too much. He decided to leave. The British actor was separated from his family for months on end for filming and couldn’t balance work and family.

“I have two young children, and I live in a different country, and they become less portable as they get older. It was that simple. It was time for me to come home.”

Danai Ginra

Danai Gurira entered as Michonne, the brave and mysterious warrior, who later became Rick’s second wife.

The American-Zimbabwean actress followed her on-screen husband’s footsteps a year later with her department announcement at Comic Con 2019. Gurira stated that she was not going to miss the show because of new opportunities.

“It is not connected to my heart,”The actress Detailed explanation. “My heart stays right here. It was about my calling and other things I feel called to. The opportunities I’ve had, exploring it as a creator of work.”

She continued: “I’m filled with a lot of pain about leaving and a lot of gratitude.”

Chandler Riggs

Former newbie Chandler Riggs got his big break as TWD’s Carl Grimes, who met his fate halfway through season 8. After Siddiq was saved, Riggs succumbed slowly to his injuries. His father initially kept his wound secret, but the zombie effects soon became evident, prompting him to commit suicide.

Riggs left Auburn University in order to pursue his studies at Auburn University in psychology and sociology. However, his exit wasn’t by choice.

He took a gap year to focus on acting, and so leaving TWD wasn’t expected.

“It was all story-related. It made sense story-wise for it to happen for Rick and Michonne and all the other characters,”He Submitted The Hollywood Reporter

The young star was added: “It was devastating for me and my family because the show has been such a huge part of my life for so long. For a few days, we didn’t know what to do.”

Even more confusing was the fact that the actor purchased a house nearby the filming location.

He was however happy to move on to other tasks.
