Fetty Wap Arrested for Threatening to Kill Someone

Fetty Wap was taken into custody in New Jersey Monday 8 August for allegedly threat to kill. This is in violation of his pre-trial release conditions in relation to his federal drug case.

The Eastern District New York Prosecutors confirmed that the arrest was made and shared details about the alleged conversation which took place in December 2021. The rapper — real name Willie Junior Maxwell — allegedly called another individual on FaceTime, threatened to kill them, called him a “rat, and brandished what appeared to be a firearm during the call.

According to the arrest warrant, affidavit obtained from Rolling StoneA recording of the FaceTime call has been turned over to the government.

“During this video, the defendant is shown holding a gun and pointing it toward the defendant,”According to the affidavit. “The defendant then says to John Doe ‘Imma kill you and everybody you with,’He then repeats it one more time.

In light of this new allegation, prosecutors are aiming to revoke Maxwell’s $500,000 bond. The hearing is expected to take place at Central Islip Federal Court.

Maxwell’s lawyer didn’t immediately return Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

Federal drug charges were brought up by FBI agents against Maxwell during Rolling Loud New York last Oct. Maxwell was among six people accused of conspiring to possess and distribute more than 100 kilograms (including heroin and fentanyl) of controlled substances across New Jersey, Long Island, and beyond. This began in 2019.

Maxwell pleaded guilty to the charges and was released with a $500,000 secured bond.
