EastEnders fans divided as Ruby heads to prison after Martin discovers sick Stacey twist

EastEnders fans were on the edge of their seats during Friday night’s episode as they said goodbye to Ruby Allen after the truth came out.

It was all kicking off in Albert square this week as viewers watched Ruby’s chaotic downfall come to an end after her husband Martin confronted her about her lies.

As the loving wife revealed everything to her supportive partner, Martin urged her to confess to the police while it’s not too late.

But things took a turn for the worst when Ruby admitted she was pregnant and Martin didn’t believe her, as he watched her leave with officers blissfully ignorant to the fact she was carrying his child.

But it turns out viewers were torn over Ruby’s departure from the square as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the leading.

One user questioned: “Is it bad that I kind of feel sorry for ruby?” while another asked: “Why am I feeling sorry for ruby all of a sudden?”

A third chimed in with: “I wanna feel sorry for Ruby but after EVERYTHING she has sone I just can’t so if/when she does come back will it be with a baby or still pregnant?”

Another added: “I seem to be the only one feeling sorry for Ruby, Stacey started this whole chain of events by clocking Phil around the head.

“The way people are acting as if Stacey is some poor innocent wronged by Ruby is laughable. Neither behaved well but this is unfair.”

However, others couldn’t help but hate the brunette beauty for what she did to Stacey and Jean, as they slated her on social media.

One viewer argued: “I have no sympathy for Ruby she didn’t even admit she miscarried before the fight with Stacey and that Stacey never touched her.”

Another penned: “Ruby finally got what was coming to her. Reckon she will be back in 2022 with baby Fowler.”

A third said: “I’m glad that karma has finally caught up with Ruby after her recent actions … I do like her, but hate how the show ruined her character.

“I’ll miss Ruby and the incredible @louisalytton, see them in a year, enjoy your Maternity Leave, Lousia!”
