I was like “Do I have enough?” [money]To retire?
It’s hard to imagine that Faris contemplated retiring from Hollywood at such a young age. Of course, she wouldn’t be the first to leave behind the film and TV sets for a quieter existence (i.e., fellow actress Cameron Diaz before unretiring for a new movie). It would be reasonable to assume that auditioning and working on sets for several months every day would force anyone to reevaluate their long career. At the very least, she did a financial review before making such a life-changing choice.

Even worse, the problem filtered down to her romantic relationships with Chris Pratt, her ex husband. The 45-year-old actress left the show without a job after moving from project to project for 20 years. In her words:
It felt like I was for the first time not having my foot on gas. I started to think about where my goals were in terms of [my] career. It was a time I enjoyed immensely.
Faris needed to take a break from the Hollywood grind. Faris seemed preoccupied with her next task than enjoying the fruits and vegetables of her labor. This is especially true considering she starred on over 30 TV and film projects. The actress was happy to have some time off and it was well earned. For the first time in her professional career, she was freed from Hollywood pressure. She was relieved from the pressure of Hollywood. Overboard star didn’t retire but decided to reassess her acting career after receiving The Estate script.
Everything is precise on Mom, which was a rewarding show in a completely different way. Sitcoms are extremely surgical, so there’s no room for such play. Everything is well choreographed. The dialogue is extremely precise. From my first project, it was incredibly rejuvenating. It brought out a sense of excitement that I haven’t experienced in a long time.
This could mean that viewers will see more of the actress’ comedic performances, as well as TV series and movies. She spoke positively about her relationship with Pratt’s wife Katherine Schwarzenegger and suggested that it was a good break. While Anna Faris isn’t tied to any new TV series, there are upcoming TV premieres to check out for the remainder of 2022.
