They were originally from Sydney and had been planning a day to celebrate the Nama’s birth when they were called by the phone.

Nama told Kidspot: “My five year old daughter and I were vacationing on the Gold Coast. We had planned a big day for celebrating.

“But my sister called me with the worst news: overnight our dad was a passenger in an accident with another car at a major intersection in Adelaide. The accident left him dead.

“We flew home immediately, which is the only reason why we ended up on the same flight as some of the most selfish people I’ve ever encountered.”

Nama and her son were initially placed in a row of special seats by Qantas staff. They often leave such seats open in the event of an emergency.

The row was three-way, so the couple could spread out and have more space while returning to their families in mourning.

But, after getting on the plane, they had to get off because of an emergency. “entitled family”Together with their baby.

Nama stated, “I was relieved that I was alone in a line with my son and I hadn’t been able to quit crying.” All day.

“I like to board a plane on-time, and so we did. We settled down, my little boy’s face against the glass, and me sitting in the middle, telling him I was okay through sobs.

“And then just as the door was about to close, two adults with a baby stumbled onboard in a mad rush.”

After getting on the plane, the family was quite upset and demanded that the flight attendants swap the seats with the row of three in which Nama and her son were.

Nama was able to convince the cabin crew to move her and her child to the seats she had purchased.

The seats they were moved to weren’t as comfortable as their original ones.

Nama explained: “Cabin crew came across to me explaining that the couple insisted that WE move to these two seats so that they can spread out with their baby.

“Oh, to be entitled and arrogant like such people. Boarding last, demanding where you should sit and forcing others to do the same.

“They didn’t say thank you, but that was all I noticed. The first thing I noticed when I sat down was the lack of windows in the row. It was just a wall. There was no window.

“No window to help distract my son on the worst plane trip I’d ever be on. I know babies are important, but I was furious with the entitled parents.”

Nama was unable to control her emotions and, as the plane was about to take off, she decided that she would confront the cabin crew.

A flight attendant stopped her and forced her to go back to her seat. The same attendant saw Nama after the plane was in midair and gave her a happier ending.

She explained, “We were increasing speed to take off, but that’s when it was the moment I decided to create my own fuss.

“I couldn’t get much further because one of them calmly called out: ‘Ma’am, you must be seated to takeoff.

“When the seatbelt sign was turned off, that crew member came to me immediately. He knelt down to ask, “How can you help me?”

“He kept me hydrated with red wine and my son nourished with snacks and food throughout the flight. He even made arrangements for us to have our bags found and removed from the plane first. When we arrived, they were already waiting at the carousel.

“He also came to us so we could be first to disembark. When I needed it the most, I was shown the most incredible kindness.”
