Sundance Institute adds Lulu Wang and Patrick Gaspard to its Board of Trustees

Three new members have been appointed to the Board of Trustees at Central Recorderdance Institute. Lulu Wang (director of “The Farewell”Shripriya Mahash (founder partner at Spero Ventures) and Patrick Gaspard (current CEO of the Center for American Progress), joined the business, cultural, and philanthropic leaders. These individuals steer the entire organization and act as an advisor.

They will expand the Institute’s Board of “values-based leaders,”The building of an “evolving community for storytellers.”The Trustees will collaborate closely with Ebs Burnough, Board Chair, and Joana Viente, CEO.

“We are honored to have Lulu, Patrick and Shripriya join us as Trustees on the Board of Sundance Institute,”Vicente, in a statment. “Their vision and expertise offer us innovative leadership to continue to evolve as a cultural organization and deepen our commitment to the work.”

Wang answered a question about whether he would like to join the board. “Sundance played a pivotal role in launching my filmmaking career and I’m honored to join the Institute’s Board to help usher in a new wave of filmmakers with singular voices.”
