Woman captures’sad tourists’ sprinting to reserve sun loungers in hotels at 9am

A woman captured the moment tourists were seen running to sun loungers at 9am while on holiday.

Svetlana, a TikTok user was on holiday to Majorca when she saw the large crowd of tourists making a mad dash.

The video shows tourists with inflatables and towels racing for sunbeds at the swimming pool.

In seconds, the sun loungers can be taken and towels and bags added to them.

This video has been viewed nearly 2 million times. Others are equally baffled.

One person wrote: “That’s really sad that people would go to that lengths just to get a chair at the pool.”

Another agreed and called it “my idea of hell”.

A third comment was: “Sad. It’s when they disappear for hours after reserving.”

Sun lounger wars have long been a thing for resorts popular with Brits.

A recent video caught holidaymakers making a mad dash for their sun loungers at a Spanish holiday resort at 6am as sunbed wars restart ahead of the summer season.

At some hotels, Brits have resorted to lying their towels on the ground at 5am – even though they can’t reserve the sunbeds until 9am – to make sure they are first in line.

In 2018, a man revealed he even broke his toe during the morning sunbed rush.

However, some hotels do not allow holidaymakers to reserve sunloungers with towels.

Tenerife hotel staff were caught taking the towels out of the hands of tourists who had left them behind.

Recently, a mum was left fuming during a holiday in France. “ignorant and selfish”Brits who had reserved sun loungers at the campsite where she was living.
