It was first released by R&B sensations Labelle back in 1974. Lady Marmalade’s story was actually an ode to a New Orleanian prostitute who seduced listeners with the forward query.

Two Academy Awards were given to the movie. The song was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

Arguably as one of the most successful female singers and world’s best-selling artists, she has a total of three Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards and seven MTV Video Music Awards. P!nk was also awarded a Daytime Emmy Award and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Billboard awarded her the Pop Songs Artist Of The Decade 2009 title. She was the second most-played female solo artist in the UK from 2000 to 2010. Madonna took the top spot. She came in second behind her.
