Brett had expressed frustration in Season 10 over the difficulties in connecting with Caesy since his move to Oregon. These problems seemed to be inevitable once the news was out that Jesse Spencer was leaving the show. Before Jesse Spencer made the decision to move to Oregon and care for his children, the relationship between Brettsey was quite strong. DardenBoys, but the distance put a real strain on them.

It seems that everything is going well, but it seems only a matter time before things get worse. FireJesse Spencer’s absence beyond on-screen visits has been addressed. Unless Kara Killmer is leaving the show, it’s hard to imagine FireAs it stands, Brettsey should be kept going. Honestly, it wouldn’t be fair to Brett!
Admittedly, I’ve Expected a Brettsey split.Since the announcement that Jesse Spencer was leaving, it has been a fact of life Chicago FireThis is not a new concept, but I expected significant cracks to be shown earlier than Episode 11. If I’m right and it’s only a matter of time before the absence of Casey means a Brettsey breakup, then I’m just nervous that Brett’s heart will be very badly broken. It’s going so well that something going wrong could be even more awful for her than Casey leaving in the first place.
Scott even encouraged the Brettsey-Brettsey relationship. “Fog of War,”Brett is willing to volunteer to visit the city more often in order to spend more time with Amelia and not distract herself from Casey. He suggested that Brett use her furlough to spend as many time with Casey as possible, and not travel to visit them. Scott cited the death of his wife and his regret that they didn’t spend more time together because of his work.
If Casey’s absence was similar to Stella’s in that we knew that he would be Within a few episodes, it will be back, then I wouldn’t have so many reservations on Brett’s behalf about FireBuilding up Brettsey. Showrunner Derek HaasHas been expressed His hopes are that Spencer will return to his home. in Season 10, but that’s far from a guarantee. I’m still hoping that Fire rips off the band-aid and ends the relationship soon for Brett’s sake, rather than drawing it out and potentially making a break all the more painful.
Despite this, I could be mistaken. Chicago FireBrettsey may not have any plans to split up and want to keep the relationship strong. I just don’t think it’s fair to Brett for such a huge part of her life to remain off screen, and fans might get tired of her talking about her relationship without ever seeing it on screen.
