What is Taylor Swift’s bracelet trend?

Taylor Swift’s bracelet trend was started by fans. Swifties would exchange friendship bracelets (often purchased or handmade) with other Swifties at each of the stops on The Eras World Tour.

These bracelets were inspired by Taylor Swift songs, albums, music videos and her lucky number 13, among other things.

Swifties, in addition to trading bracelets amongst themselves, would give them out as gifts to celebrities attending the tour. These included Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman Gigi, Hadid, Emma Stone Channing Tatum and Jennifer Garner.

Swift accepted the bracelets of her audience.

Swifties also make it a point to involve venue staff, security, bartenders and others in this bracelet trend.

“It’s a nice way for us all to be connected,” an Eras Tour attendee told The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s great to see the staff get into it and for everyone to have a good time bonding over their love for Taylor Swift.”

When did this new trend begin?

Why is the Women’s World Cup bracelet worn?

Even football fans are embracing the bracelet trend.

Participants of the Women’s World Cup have begun to swap bracelets as a form of sharing their enthusiasm for sports.

Andrea Scott (29), one of first women fans to start the exchange bracelet trend at the Women’s World Cup told PA News The Agency was a wonderful way to find new friends.

“I’m just going to give them out and use it as an excuse to talk to people, I am traveling by myself so it’s always a nice thing to help start a conversation,” she said.

Although she’s not a Swiftie, she liked how it brought people together and helped build a sense of community.

“In my head I’m thinking I’ll give these out to some younger girls with their families to help spark that passion [for football].

“If it helps someone be more excited about women’s soccer, that’s the only thing I could hope for.”
