He also stated that he cannot drink Sprite or Coke, but his trainer can make him other delicious drinks.

“My trainer concocts this sugary, protein water-based drink that manages to stop the fluid from being completely sweated out,”He said.

“For an athlete, fizzy drinks are a strict no-no, and water obviously is the most natural thing you can have, but it leaves your body too quickly and there are isotonic drinks that are better for you.”

He said that his favorite meal is a good old-fashioned burger. Unfortunately, this rare treat is due to his intense training schedule.

What does Mo Farah eat at dinner?

BBC Good Food was told by the sporting icon that this is the typical day’s meal plan for athletes training for events such as the Olympics.

Breakfast (7am):
My breakfast consisted of coffee and cereal. I usually eat Frosties because they are delicious. But they provided me with my sugar rush for the morning.

Lunch (12pm).:
I don’t really like large meals. I prefer small, frequent meals throughout the day. But if I had a lunch, it tended to be pasta, steamed vegetables and grilled chicken.

Dinner (8:15pm):
It would be dinner again: pasta, steamed veggies and grilled chicken. Although it sounds boring, it was absolutely what I wanted to eat. It’s an exciting lifestyle I live!
