It has been used as a lorry park by drivers travelling between France and the UK via Dover since then.

It was also used earlier in the year as a location for Empire of Light, starring Olivia Colman.

Many of the pieces are still in place, including a fake Margate sign.

Recent photos inside the airport have shown that the terminals were abandoned, but they are still intact.

The signs, including the directions and Duty-Free shop, have been left the same as before.

The airport, formerly known as RAF Manston was first used in 1916 by planes during the First World War.

It was used throughout WWII due to its proximity to the front line, but it was often attacked and heavily bombed during Battle of Britain.

It was opened to commercial passengers in 1980.

In 1989, it was renamed Kent International Airport and opened by Sarah, Duchess of York.

Flybe and KLM, as well as other charter airlines, operated short-haul flights from the airport to Europe.

The airport was closed in 2014. However, it may soon reopen for flights.

The UK government has given approved development for Manston Airport to reopen, confirmed by the Transport Secretary.

The airport’s owners RiverOak Strategic Partners (RSP) confirmed plans to invest £500million in developing the Manston Airport, for both air freight flights and passenger flights.

It is expected to reopen by 2025, a decade after it was closed.

Another UK airport announced recently that they will be closing their doors for the year.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport confirmed that it should close down. Flights will be canceled starting October 31.
