Six pubs across Britain were voted the best in Britain.
Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), in conjunction with their Pub Design Awards, announced which pubs won.

The recipients of the awards are recognized “most stunning feats of architecture, design and conservation”In British pubs all over the country.
There were six winners and one highly commended pub across different categories ranging from refurbishment to new build in this year’s awards.
Two pubs were awarded the new build award for 2021, and they shared two winners for their modern designs.
The honours were shared by Brewpoint, Bedford, and Stone Crown Wharf, Staffordshire.
Brewpoint is the local brewers Wells & Co’s flagship new state-of-the-art, multi-functional building.
CAMRA stated that the designers had “created what appears to be an industrial building, reflecting one of its functions, as a working brewhouse.”
The Crown Wharf has a more traditional design and was described by the author as “a fine addition to the canal side facilities of the town.”
In the refurbishment category, the winner was the King’s Arms in Dorchester, Dorset.

The pub underwent a major renovation recently to restore some of its original features. The pub’s rich history includes guests such as Queen Victoria and The Rolling Stones.
The Bleeding Wolf in Scholar Green, Cheshire – named following a legend by King John after he was rumoured to have been saved from a wolf by a local – was also highly commended.
Historic England awarded the conservation award to the pub that is best preserved for future generations.
Again there were two joint winners for this award, with the Castle in Macclesfield and the Coach & Horses in Bamburgh, Northumberland sharing the honours.

The award for the best community pub on a street corner was presented to the winner.
The Boleyn Tavern, East Ham, London was chosen as the winner. This pub is most well-known for hosting Mahatma Gandhi in 1931.
The complex ‘gin palace’ was built in 1899 but recently underwent a £1.5m renovation.
Nik Antona, CAMRA’s National Chairman said: “We hope beer-lovers across the country will seek out these examples of excellence and plan visits to them over the summer.”
The landlord of the pub in Wiltshire claims that it is losing customers. “Britain’s wonkiest road”.
In the meantime, a rule that allows pubs to sell take-out pints has been extended by one year.
