As if it wasn’t addictive enough already, TikTok is now testing a new feature that lets users play video games from within the app. According to TechCrunchTikTok launched a pilot programme in recent weeks, with a few partners. The partners behind the “MiniGames”Include game developers like Voodoo and Nitro Games, FRVR and Aim Lab.
TikTok tests the games that you can play within the app
In May, Reuters reportedTikTok was planning its launch “big push into gaming”To increase advertising revenue and to keep users on the application longer. While only a few games had been tested at the time of this pilot, TikTok has since added many more.
During the creation of your post, you can add a game. Tap on the button before you upload a video. “Add link” button. Scroll down the page and click on “MiniGame”Link your video to a game minigame We tried this with eight games on TikTok:
- Basketball FRVR
- Tap the Difference
- Peek a Who
- Pride Run
- Influencer Run
- Space Destroyer
- Mr. Aim Lab’s Nightmare
- Kitten Force FRVR
They’re all relatively simplistic mobile games that you can play with taps and swipes. Don’t expect these minigames to rival the likes of FortniteOr Pokemon Go. Of course, TikTok is not trying to compete with any major titles — if the minigame keeps you on the TikTok app for an extra minute or two, then the feature has done its job.

You can tap through the prompts to hit “Start”To start the game.
TikTok states that the program is still being tested. The company wouldn’t comment on any deal terms with the game developers behind these titles either. These minigames can be used independently of TikTok LIVE.
