And what’s more, one of them is going to spend its entire runtime Honoring a Stephen King classic.
How The Simpsons Are Paying Tribute to Stephen King With Treehouse Of Horror
This was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. via Variety, The Simpsons Season 34 will feature the long-running animated series’ very first “Treehouse of Horror”An episode that is entirely dedicated to parodying one classic genre will be available. And in this case, it will be Stephen King’s monster of a novel, IT. The book is obviously thick enough to hold a whole season of episodes. The Simpsons isn’t quite there on a risk-taking level.
While no big details were revealed beyond the special’s existence, fans can almost definitely look forward to seeing Bart, Lisa and Springfield’s other younger denizens bringing the Losers Club to animated life. It’s gonna be weird if Bart is Bill and Lisa is Bev, though not necessarily as weird as the book’s orgy sceneThis will hopefully provide some sort of reference. The Simpsons.
We will be revealing the future. “Treehouse of Horror”News, Matt Selman, executive producer brought up the possibility of mashup tattoos that combine Krusty The Clown with The terrifying Pennywise, saying:
We’ve never done a single fantastical, bloody, scary, dark story, told over the scope of the the 20 minutes and 40 seconds that is an episode. I expect the fans to be excited. There are already tattoos of Pennywise and Krusty. So we’re just writing towards the tattoos now. As many tattoo-worthy moments are possible in your videos as you can.
It would be even more fun if Ralph Wiggum or Chief Wiggum were Pennywise. The Simpsons‘ IT parody? Yes, but I don’t want you to see the other objects Ralph may have around.
This is Stephen King’s latest nod, but it will not be the first. The SimpsonsThe ‘annual specials. It all began with Season 6, 1994, and the fondly-remembered “The Shinning”segment, but it took another ten year for the second parody. “The Ned Zone”Season 16. In Season 16. What The Simpsons’ Other Treehouse Of Horror Special Will Parody
Season 34 is, of course, the first.
