Surveillance cameras captured the jaw-dropping fight between a rabid Fox and a woman in Ithaca, New York.
July footage shows a woman leaving her home and talking on her phone. Unbeknownst of the woman, a rabid animal was approaching her.
The Ithaca woman attempted to get the fox off her ankle but it was too fast. The rabid Fox was determined to keep attacking her, and it continued attacking her over and again.
The fox reached the woman’s chest and arms at one point.
A man with a large object ran to the aid of the woman to fight the Fox, leading the rabid animal away.

The dramatic fight was viewed over 38k times.
Russo followed up his initial tweet by Another oneClarifying that his cousin was treated immediately for any injuries sustained during the attack, and is now doing well.
In a Facebook postRusso said that Russo had euthanized the fox and that he was positive for rabies.
Like foxes, animals carrying rabies can transmit the virus to humans by biting.
To prevent infection spreading, it is important to seek medical attention immediately after coming into contact with a rabid pet.
It is almost always fatal once the virus reaches the brain.
