Teen, 16, ADMITS murder of Charlie Cosser, 17, who was stabbed to death at end-of-term party at £1.5m farmhouse

Unknown teen admitted today to murdering 17-year old boy, who had been stabbed in the neck at a end-of term party.

Charlie Cosser, also known as ‘Cheeks’, suffered multiple stab wounds during the horror in Warnham, West Sussex, on Sunday.

It is understood an end-of-term party in the grounds of a £1.5million home had been taking place at the time.

The 16-year-old, whose name is not public, has today admitted to the crime of murder.

The teenager admitted to having a knifed item during an appearance at Lewes crown court.

Kevin Light said that his client had “drunk quite a bit” and couldn’t remember some events from the night, such as the way he acquired the knife.

The teenager was sent to youth detention pending the September 11th sentence.

Charlie’s parents Martin and Tara as well his brother Adam, younger sister Eloise and dad Martin paid their respects to the tragic teenager.

The parents said, “Our life has been ruined by the tragedy and untimely death of our son.”

His injuries were so severe that despite his bravery, he died tragically on Tuesday evening 25th July.

“He was the most caring, cheeky, loving son and brother we could have ever wished for, and we cannot imagine a life without him.

“Charlie’s wider family are deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden loss. “His grandparents, his aunts, cousins and uncles struggle to accept this tragedy.”

By paying tribute to the people who helped them through their darkest moments, this heartbroken family has thanked all those that have provided “huge support in our darkest times”.

It also included praise for the medics, emergency services and medical personnel who, “did everything possible to save our little boy with compassion, empathy, care and sympathy.”

The family added: “His ridiculously silly sense of humour will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved him.”

A girl aged 16 has been accused of perverting justice and aiding an offender.

A 16-year-old who had been arrested initially on suspicion for attempted murder is being treated by the police as a witness. He will not face any further actions.

The 52-year old woman arrested for allegedly assisting a criminal has been released pending the outcome of further investigations.
