After becoming viral, Sydney Parham (28-year-old Michigan native) went viral A video of her setting fire to her boyfriend’s Jeep after she allegedly caught her boyfriend cheating and decided to set his Jeep ablaze.

Around 8am on July 22nd, 2022, fire crews were called to discover the car in flames at the San Remo Apartment complex parking lot.

Authorities obtained video showing Parham pouring gasoline onto the car and then using a lighter to ignite it. It exploded in her face, sending her backwards.

Parham was captured and later arrested. On July 24, Parham was charged for arson. Parham was also held on a $20,000 personal guarantee.

In May 2021, she pleaded guilty in arson to charges that were a misdemeanor. Her original charge of third-degree arson could have led to a 10-year sentence.

She was instead sentenced to 18-month probation as part of her plea bargain for the arson charge.

Online claims claimed that Parham had caught her boyfriend cheating, and set his Jeep ablaze as a result.

Avery Stevenson went to the impound to find out what the Jeep was worth. He told him that the Jeep had been stolen. ClickonDetroitthat he did know Parham but he was not her boyfriend.

The outlet was told by Parham that he did not know the motives of Parham.

The caption of the video read: “The Jeep’s owner, in a viral video that has lit social media on fire, says he knew the woman that did this but it wasn’t his girlfriend. He gave us this video of the charred remains…RIP Jeep.”

Authorities tracked ParhamFraser after residents of the apartment complex shared their description of her and the video of her lighting the Jeep on fire.

Parham was seen walking out of her apartment that night. She was stopped by Roseville police during a traffic stop and taken to the Macomb County Jail.

Tenants reported that they were shocked at the blast that rocked their apartment that morning.

Jerome Doster, who lived in the complex, told Fox2News: “I was at a loss for words, I couldn’t believe it was going on.”

Fox2News’s Tenant Nia Ashleyford and Sydney Pearson said that they were unaware of the fire until watching the video posted online.

“I don’t think that was necessary, she blew herself away,”Ashford stated, adding that she only “thought it was some viral video.”

Pearson stated: “I said that looks like it could be our complex. We were joking about it.”

Doster said to the outlet: “Somebody could have gotten killed.”
