Station 19 fans are furious that Grey's Anatomy Crossover did not address the fall finale cliffhanger

Warning! This story contains major spoilers Station 19Season 6: Fall Finale “Everybody Says Don’t,” so proceed with caution if you haven’t watched yet.

When It was predicted that tragedy would strikeThe fall finale crossover show between Station 19And Grey’s AnatomyIt was not clear which show would be the one to witness this. It turned out that it was both. The medical drama witnessed an end to an era. Station 19’s Maya BishopFinally, she pushed herself too far. Fans expected the dramatic firefighter episode to continue into the next hour. This was not a crossover, right? However, there was another storyline that continued. Grey’s Anatomy, Maya’s fate was left unmentioned, and fans on social media were absolutely livid.

Maya (Danielle Savre) has been on the Path to destructionAll season, it finally came up in “Everybody Says Don’t.”After weeks of refusing therapy, and pushing away, Carina and her firehouse family, things got even worse when Carina told her she’d Have you taken a pregnancy exam without Maya?Being there (it was negativ). So now Andy Maya ran on the treadmill despite numerous injuries that indicated she was pushing herself too hard. Maya was eventually forced to be benched during a call. She ran faster and hurt more, but she eventually fell asleep on the treadmill.

One can see why under these circumstances fans would believe that the next hour of the Seattle crossover would provide an update on Maya’s condition, and perhaps see her arrive by ambulance to the hospital. Instead viewers were shown the continuation of the storyline about the man firefighters saved from a crash in a helicopter. This simply wasn’t the story Station 19Fans cared about with one tweet:

Station 19 viewers stuck it out for the full hour, too, because they didn’t want to risk missing anything if Maya did indeed show up at some point. As you can see, the hope began to fade.

Maybe there was a little bit of a payoff when the audience realized how the shows’ tragedies were related — the call that led to Maya being left alone and unconscious was Meredith Grey’s house being on fire:

It’s easy to see why Station 19Fans would be very upset by the Maya cliffhanger. This is especially true considering the show’s hiatus from February 23 to February 23. That’s a long time to wonder how badly Maya is injured — I’m assuming she’s not dead — and if this could possibly be her rock bottom or if she’ll continue to spiral.
