The former staffer spoke anonymously to say that he worked at Woburn forest branch. This branch boasts lush woodland landscapes as well as activities for the whole family.

They also discussed the possibility of celebrities visiting the site, how bad insects could be and how chaotic changingover days can be.

Ex-restaurant worker revealed that staff parking was far away and that they were averse to freebies.

Celebrities were often invited as guests.

According to the former worker, Bedfordshire Live: “When well-known faces were visiting it became a hot topic of discussion, probably helped by most of the staff in the village’s multiple restaurants knowing each other outside of work, with many going to school together.”

They claimed that all were greeted by staff Premier Leaguefootballers and managers to Dragons from Dragons’ Den.

Ex-worker claimed that although they welcome the celebrity faces at the Bedford spot and would love to have them back, staff would be confused by why they weren’t going abroad.

They also talked about insects and how they were the worst.

The person who worked at Centre Parcs was a Pancake House worker and claimed that bees would hang around sticky syrup in summer.

They said that staff spent more time fighting wasps than actually serving guests.

“It wasn’t uncommon to walk through the restaurant and see at least 10 to 15 trapped under plastic cups.”

Former employee also described their busiest days – when old guests left and new guests arrived.

They stated that changeover days were the busiest days for restaurant staff.

“All of the people on the last day of their holiday are desperate to get that one final visit to their favourite restaurant in for one final treat for the already-full family.”

They also complained that staff parking, although it was free, was not as convenient as guest parking.

They explained that staff parking isn’t as convenient to the facilities and takes more effort to get to work. This is especially true for those who worked at the opposite end, near the boathouse.

“Despite being instructed to park in the staff parking, it was quite common for staff members to park in guest garages out of convenience. Not that I would have ever done such a thing.

“It just seemed to make sense for staff to park closer if possible, we were after all, working.”

The one thing they loved most was the free days.

According to the former employee, “Staff at Center Parcs have the right to day passes as a benefit for their roles or so they were before the Covid-19 pandemic.”

“A day pass was an absolute joy to use, free use of all the activities on site, provided there was availability and discounted prices at restaurants and bars.”
