You thought that? Spider-Man, There’s No Way Home might be the end for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, think again. Interview with FandangoAmy Pascal, Sony Pictures producer, confirmed Monday that a new Spider-Man movie series is in the making. Although it seemed obvious that Marvel and Sony would continue their collaboration, now it is officially confirmed.
Sony unveils the new Spider-Man movie trilogy
Following the release of Spider-Man, there had been much speculation about Sony’s plans. There’s no way home. Sony is working on its own cinematic universe featuring Spider-Man villains. That universe finally collided with Marvel’s in Venom: Let There be Carnage. It was obvious that Sony wanted to continue allowing Marvel to use its IP. But for how long? Well, we have got an answer to that question, and it doesn’t sound like the two are splitting up any time soon.
The interesting thing is that the interviewer didn’t ask the exec what the future holds for Spider-Man in MCU. Pascal instead interrupted the interview to share the latest:
This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel – [this is not]The final Spider-Man movie. We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn’t part of… we’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This isn’t the end of our MCU movies.
Pascal also observed that “Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners.”
Fans had expected that Marvel, Sony, Holland and Holland would find a way to move on. With some of the franchise’s biggest stars having recently moved on, Holland has arguably the most recognizable face in the MCU. Spider-Man, There’s No Way HomeIt is shaping up as the most explosive MCU film since Avengers: EndgameHolland’s exit from the stage would not have been an option. Marvel and Sony seem to be committed to Holland for many years.
What’s next for Spider-Man?
It is worth noting that no one else has echoed Amy Pascal’s comments yet. Marvel hasn’t announced. Spider-Man 4She is not even allowed to make a fifth or sixth entry. She is, however, one of the shepherds. Spider-Manmovies so she would be able to predict the future as well as anyone else.
In the meantime, Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) will continue to grow. MorbiusThe film, which stars Jared Leto as a vampiric villain, will be released in theaters next year. Next, Sony will release the Kraven-the Hunter film Aaron Taylor Johnson in 2023. There are also two more movies on the slate for 2023, but Sony hasn’t offered any additional details. It’s possible that the third VenomIn 2023, the movie may be available for release. We might also finally get the long-awaited Sinister Six supervillain team-up movie that we’ve been waiting to see since 2013.
Now, the question is: In how many of these films will Tom Holland appear?
