Donald Trump made his eagerly awaited return. Saturday Night LiveWordle is his obsession, just like everyone else.
It’s not Trump the real thing, but James Austin Johnson, a member of the SNL cast and perhaps the greatest Trump impersonator, plays the role.
The long-running entertainment program opened with a parody on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show, where Kate McKinnon interviewed cast members presuming to be controversial and prominent figures like Ted Cruz and Novak Djokovic.
The cold ended with Johnson returning to Trump as Trump with his raspy rendition. Johnson likes to weave pop culture and current affairs topics into the routine.

Ingraham said that Trump played Wordle, but that he had an interesting way of playing it.
He starts with the word “boost” to refer to the backlash Trump is currently receiving from Republicans in regards to his decision not getting the Covid booster shot.
He bizarrely switches to “Mayer” as in John Mayer. This is his second guess and a dig at Ron DeSantis, the Florida governor.
His next guess is an acronym, which he doesn’t think would work on real Wordle. Trump chooses ‘HIMYF” from the new sitcom How I Met Your Father Hillary Duff stars.
He uses the name Momoa to talk about the split between Jason Momoa (celeb) and Lisa Bonet (promo).
Trump called Momoa a “sexy demi-god”, which is a nice way to lead into his fifth term, ‘Prada.
While Trump has not been able to locate three letters of the alphabet T, R, or M yet, you can already see the direction of his efforts.
He concluded by saying: “Prada is right next to Tiffany’s and Tiffany is my daughter. ‘Daughters’ is by John Mayer and I’m going to run through the halls of your high school in 2024 when you reelect Trump. Wordle!”
Trump would be the most likely word to work on the Wordle.
