Scandal’s Sam Waterston Leaves Law & Order – Exciting New Alum Joining!

Title: Sam Waterston Bids Farewell to Law & Order After 30 Years – Find Out Why!

After three decades, the legendary Sam Waterston is departing from the iconic “dun-dun” sound. The esteemed actor revealed on February 2nd that he would be relinquishing his role as District Attorney Jack McCoy on Law & Order after an impressive stint spanning more than 400 episodes. Fans will be able to catch his final appearance on February 22nd.

Saying his goodbyes, Waterston expressed, “The time has come for me to move on and take Jack McCoy with me. There’s a sense of melancholy in leaving, but I’m just too inquisitive about what’s on the horizon. An actor should never allow himself to get too comfortable.” The 83-year-old actor also expressed his gratitude to the fans and Law & Order creator Dick Wolf for their unwavering support during the remarkable, enduring run of the NBC series. He further added, “I feel incredibly fortunate. I look forward to meeting you all on the other side. Thank you.”

In 1994, Waterston initially joined the cast, and his association with the show continued until its original conclusion in 2010. He made a comeback for the revival of the series in 2022.
