Road House Remake with Jake Gyllenhaal – Amazon, Sets Cast

Jake Gyllenhaal stars in the remake of 1989 Patrick Swayze film “Road House” from director Doug Liman that’s set at Amazon, the studio announced Tuesday.

MGM announced the project in its first year. The film will move to Prime Video. Amazon has already cast the complete cast.

Cannon (“Why Women Kill”), Arturo Castro (“Broad City”), Dominique Columbus (“Ray Donovan”), Beau Knapp (“Seven Seconds”Alongside Gyllenhaal, Bob Menery and ) will star together “Road House,”It is described as a modern take on the 1989 film.

Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter. She takes a job as an assistant bouncer at a Florida Keys-based roadhouse. However, she soon discovers that there is more to this tropical paradise than meets the eye.

Swayze starred as the original “Road House”It was opposite Sam Elliott, which is located in Missouri.

This new film is directed by Liman from an Anthony Bagarozzi script.“The Nice Guys”Charles Mondry, a.k.a. Joel Silver. Joel Silver, the original director of the film, will be producing for Silver Pictures. JJ Hook, Alison Winter and Aaron Auch will be the executive producers.

Gyllenhaal will next be seen in Guy Ritchie’s next movie “The Interpreter.” He most recently produced and starred in Antoine Fuqua’s thriller “The Guilty.”

Liman was most recently director “Chaos Walking”She is also a director of the upcoming Netflix series “The Recruit.”

WME represents Gyllenhaal, while CAA represents Liman.
