Producer Adam Shankman Unveils Premiere Date

UPDATED, 3:05 PM:Adam Shankman, the producer, took to Instagram to announce a premiere date for the upcoming film. Hocus Pocus 2., announcing that the sequel to Kenny Ortega’s 1993 Disney classic will debut on Disney+ this Halloween.

Original Hocus PocusMax, a young man named Max (Omri Katz) moved to Salem. He struggled to make it in Salem before he was able to awaken the Sanderson Sisters. These three diabolical witches were played by Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker, while Kathy Najimy was the other.

In the sequel, three young women bring the Sanderson Sisters back into modern-day Salem. They will then have to figure out how they can stop child-hungry, evil witches from wrecking havoc across the globe.

Midler, Parker and Najimy will reprise their roles, with Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Juju Brenner, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen rounding out the sequel’s cast.

Anne Fletcher directed the film, produced by Walt Disney Pictures, from a script by Jen D’Angelo.

PREVIOUSLY, NOVEMBER 12,Disney+ has released a first-look photo ofHocus Pocus 2.The horror comedy sequel to 1993 Halloween’s cult classic, starring Bette Miler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and all reprising their roles in the original film.
