THIRD PLACE – The sausage, egg and cheese biscuit were the better options.

The stronger option of the two sandwich options was the sausage.

The sausage fit perfectly on the sandwich, unlike the bacon that stuck out from the sides. Also, the bold, savory flavour of the meat was a better match to the dense, chewy biscuit, which brought out the rich, buttery tastes.

Although the egg was once more a bland, tasteless addition, the combination of flavors between the sausage and melted cheese was enough to make it worth my while.

Both the cheese and pork added a needed element of moisture as well as creaminess to the sandwich. Because the bun was dense, the oiliness was absorbed quite well.

McDonald’s should have chosen cheddar cheese over American cheese, but it’s still my choice.

It’s not worth the money, especially since the sausage, egg and cheese McMuffin tasted fresher. However, if you love biscuits, it is an acceptable option.
