Playboi Carti's birthday party teases new tracks with Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert

The Magnolia rapper has been teasing his third album for a while now. At his recent birthday party, Playboi Carti teased new tracks with Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert that fans appeared to be loving.

Playboi Carti burst onto the hip-hop scene in 2017 following the release of his self-titled debut mixtape which featured tracks Magnolia and Wokeuplikethis. Since breaking into the mainstream, Carti, born Jordan Carter, has released two albums, Die Lit (2018), and Whole Lotta Red (2020), the latter of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and received 160 million global streams within its first week.

Carti has been teasing the release of his third album for months

It’s been two years since Carti’s last major release. However, the Atlanta rapper is scheduled to release his upcoming third studio album – currently titled Music – later in 2023.

Details have been kept under close wraps, although on July 28, Carti teased the album on Instagram after being featured on the track Fe!n on Travis Scott‘s fourth studio album, Utopia. “New s*** on the way, believe that,” Carti teased.

That month he also played unreleased music during his set at Wireless and at his Rolling Loud Miami headlining performance.

Several tracks names off Carti’s upcoming album have emerged online. The rapper confirmed the name of one, Wicked, in a recent interview, while Justin Bieber (featuring Lil Uzi Vert) Ménage (featuring Lil Uzi Vert), and Roll Up (featuring Travis Scott) are also rumored to be possible tracks.

Playboi Carti’s 27th birthday was on 13 September, 2023, and it appears he previewed some of the music off his new album. Footage from the birthday bash made its way online, and featured several previously unheard Playboi Carti tracks featuring Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert.

Needless to say fans were excited upon hearing the unreleased music at Carti’s birthday.

‘The album gonna be crazy,’ one person said.

‘oh we are so back’, another added.

‘life is good,’ another said.

‘This is fire’, a four commented

The new music comes after Carti announced the US leg of his Antagonist Tour, originally scheduled to kick off on 6 September in Denver, will be postponed to 2024. Instead, the rescheduled leg of the US tour will commence in Salt Lake City in January.

The tour will now begin with its European leg in Dublin, Ireland, on 19 November.
