Pete Davidson has just purchased the Staten Island Ferry for $280,000'

Pete Davidson is establishing his unofficial status as Staten Island’s king – and he just purchased his own ferry.

His purchase of the Staten Island ferry was reportedly done alongside his purchase of the ferry to Staten Island. Saturday Night LiveCostar Colin Jost is on the same ferry that the two of them used to ride into Manhattan before becoming big-names.

Jost, Davidson, and Jost partnered with a Manhattan realty agent and owner of a comedy club, Paul Italia in order to purchase the decommissioned ferry boat named the John F. Kennedy.

According to reports, the couple spent $280,000 to buy the ferry at an online auction. New York Post.

The $125,000 starting bid for the vessel that has been in service for nearly 60 years was the lowest price.

A good investment purchase. The JFK is currently immobilized by mechanical problems. SNLStars have big plans when it comes to their next purchase. We’re not surprised that it will end up becoming NYC’s hottest destination.

Italia spoke to the Post to say that the trio intends to transform the space into a live entertainment space with comedy, music and art.

“We’re in the early stages, but everybody involved had the same ambition — not to see this thing go to the scrapyard,”Italia said.

This vessel could be transformed into a river show with comedy, food and even food. Add Jost and Davidson to that list, and it’s a winner.

It is interesting that the purchase comes from two Staten Island residents who remember riding the ferry into Manhattan in the past. Jost is reported to have used the ferry as a way to get to Manhattan high school while Davidson was on standup gigs.
