Paramore announces first tour after four years

Paramore, the American rock band from America, are on the road for their first tour since 2018.

Fans began to fear that the band was about to break up. This new tour, which was hinted at in February, seals the deal. Paramore aren’t going anywhere yet.

Paramore: Who are they?

Led by Hayley Williams, the rock band formed in 2004 and has had hits including Misery Business, Still Into You and Ain’t It Fun. They also created the song Decode in 2008 for Twilight, which helped them gain many new fans.

They have had their first US Billboard number one since then and won their first Grammy with the self-titled album in 2013.

Williams has been the band’s leader for almost twenty years. Zac Farro, an original member, has returned to the drums and Taylor York is now on guitar.

Their new tour

The band have announced their first tour in four years – but hold your horses, it’s only in the US. The band will tour America on a 17-date tour, playing festivals like Austin City LimitsAnd When We Were Young. For the latter, they’ll be headlining with My Chemical Romance, who got back together in 2019.

UK fans will be disappointed that there is no immediate plan to travel across the Atlantic. As the band has just come out of an unofficial hiatus, surely it won’t be long until they do. Hayley Williams, the singer, said that whatever their plans might be. Rolling Stone it’s going to be good:

“We wrote and tracked something we loved and it actually surprised us. We kept joking it was all downhill from that point but thank God we’ve been surprised a lot throughout this whole thing.”
