Medical Examiner Reveals Ivana Trump’s Cause of Death

Ivana Trump, who was the first wife of former President Donald Trump, died from blunt force torso injuries sustained during a fall down the staircase at her New York City home, the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office revealed Friday afternoon.

Her death has been ruled accidental. The 73-year-old was found with unresponsive and alone on a staircase in her Upper East Side home on Thursday, NYPD officials said on Thursday. The first responders declared her dead on the spot.

Giuliano Zuliani, owner of a local restaurant, said PeopleIvana seemed to be having trouble walking two weeks ago when he last saw it. “She was in bad shape. She could barely walk. She didn’t eat her food, she took it home with her,” he said.

Ivana Trump was planning to leave for St. Tropez on Friday according to her friend Nikki Haskell.Page Six. “This was going to be her first trip away since the pandemic. She was afraid of getting the virus.”

The former president first announced her death in a post on his social media site Truth Social, calling her a “wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great inspirational life.”

Donald Trump married Ivana, a Czech-born woman, in 1977. They had three children, Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka. She held various key management positions within the Trump Organization during their marriage. She divorced her husband in 1992 and she went on to become a fashion designer, and later a television personality on QVC.

Their split was a major tabloid and news story, as Donald’s affair with future second wife Marla Maples came to light. Ivana was awarded a $14 million settlement, which included a mansion and an apartment at Trump Tower. She also had regular access to Mar-a-Lago. After her divorce, she famously stated: “Don’t get mad, get everything.”

Ivana Trump was also a prolific author, publishing many books and a Globe advice column for 15 years.
