New Jersey Woman Arrested For Supposedly Impersonating a Social Worker and Inquiring About Baby, Police Say

Police say a woman from New Jersey was arrested on Thursday for impersonating a state social worker. She knocked at a family’s front door to ask about their baby.

Love Hodge, 29, was taken into custody by Maple Shade Police Department officers after receiving a report saying the woman had allegedly gone to a family’s home and was acting suspiciously, authorities said.

Police said that the family informed officers that a woman visited their home last weekend. She claimed she was from the Department of Child Protection and Permanency. According to police, even though there were children living in the house at the time, the woman was only concerned about the family’s 5-month old daughter.

According to police, the woman did not provide identification.

Hodge is currently in Burlington County Jail being held on charges that include impersonating an official servant and burglary.

Police believe that the woman might have been involved with other incidents in the vicinity, according to police. WTXF-TV.Officers are still investigating and asked for any information.
