Neil Gaiman promises that the story of Good Omens will be completed (even if it is not renewed)

Both leading up to and since its release, Neil Gaiman has taken to regularly answering questions about “Good Omens” Season 2 on his personal Tumblr account. Neil Gaiman has addressed the possibility of a new season on his Tumblr account in several posts.

It is a good idea to get in touch with someone who can help you. Post August 4, 2014Gaiman, for instance, confirmed that Season 3 would definitively conclude “Good Omens”, if it were to be approved. This answer implies that, if Gaiman ends up writing a book instead of Season 3, that would also serve as the conclusion to the story.

Then, there is also a Post before Gaiman said on August 3 he outlined the Season 3 story before starting Season 2; a fact he revealed. He decided to make Season 2 such that it would transition directly into the following season — or book, as the case may be — even if its future was uncertain. He wrote: “When we started Season 2, we made sure to plan everything in order for Season 3 to go as smoothly as possible.” Amazon wouldn’t order two seasons. We would need to get an audience for Season 2. But everything was set and planned.

Amazon’s viewership figures will determine whether Gaiman’s story is adapted into a “Good Omens” season.
