A MOTHER has been left mortified after she accidentally sent her plumber a text asking if she can “w*nk” in the dining room while he works, in a hilarious predictive text fail.
George Cox was scheduled to install a boiler at Wendy Loftus Martin’s Hinckley, Leicestershire home. However, he received the wrong text the day before.

The 33-year-old plumbing and central heating engineer was asked whether it would be better for him if she was to “w*nk in the office or dining room” – to which he cheekily responded that it was “up to her where she does that”.
Self-proclaimed “not tech-savvy” Wendy claims she had “never been so embarrassed” but that her family thought her fail was an absolute hoot.
The dad-of-three said that the following day his 58-year-old customer was “laughing her head off” and he and his work colleague couldn’t resist joking about the blunder here and there.

George said: “I read the message and I was absolutely howling with laughter. My wife [Victoria Cox] said ‘what’s so funny?’ I read it to my wife and she wet herself.
“I communicate with all my customers by text message to let everyone know when we are coming and what time. It just so happened that she texted me saying, “Well, I’m working at home. Where would you like to work?”
“I noticed it on my phone and thought that I would reply. But then, I received a text saying that Gaz was laughing and she was praising me.
“She was laughing all the way to her stomach, thank you. She was able to have a good laugh. As a joke, the word was mentioned several times in conversation.
“It’s just been quite funny, every now and again a snide comment gets made in jest with me and my mate who’s working with me now just have a bit of a laugh.”
The mother-of-2 said that, although she was sure the message was correct before she sent it, she would double-check the messages in the future to make sure they aren’t.
Wendy explained that “It was Sunday evening and George was coming for my new central heating system. It was my first Monday at home and I wasn’t sure where I should set up my office.”
“I sent him the text and just as I sent it I saw the word instead of work and I couldn’t do anything about it, it had gone.
“Why did my phone pick that word up? Why would it do this? It’s just not clear to me.
“I just said it to my husband: “Oh my god, I can’t believe that I just did this.” He was crying as I read it to him. My son was sleeping in his bedroom, and he was laughing so hard. It was a total hoot.
“I’m 58, I’m not technical at all. It just happened and I was absolutely mortified to be honest with you, I’ve never been so embarrassed in all my life.”
The plumber said he thought the predictive text fail was “too funny” not to share online.
George, who owns his family-owned business G.E.C. services, shared the exchange via Facebook, and it has received more than 350 likes, comments, and shares.
