Missing woman, 21, found dead behind fire station 50 miles away from where she vanished

A missing 21-year-old woman has been found dead behind a fire station, 50 miles away from where she first vanished.

Sheridan Wahl from Tampa, Florida, was on her way to visit her dad in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last week – but she disappeared on the way.

The next day, her mum Kelly DeArment Wahl took to Facebook to beg for help finding her daughter, reports the New York Post.

She wrote: “Please help me find my daughter. Last seen at 300 S. Ocean in Myrtle Beach.

“We haven’t heard from her since 1p and her phone is not picking up.

“She could have been driving back from Myrtle Beach to Tampa. Let me know if anyone has seen her.

“Otherwise please pray she comes home to us safely!”

But tragically, Sheridan never made it home and on September 21 her lifeless body was found behind a fire station in Pamplico, South Carolina – 50 miles west of Myrtle Beach.

Cops are yet to figure out the exact cause of death and are continuing their investigations.

“We are heartbroken beyond belief to share the news that our beloved Sheridan Lynne Wahl has passed,” Kelly DeArment Wahl posted in light of hearing her daughter had died.

“Sheridan was our cherished and loving daughter, sister, niece and friend. She will be missed more than words can ever express,” she added.

A fundraiser has been set up in memory of Sheridan by her old housemate, Elizabeth Echenique.

Over £5,000 dollars have been raised to help with the costs of a funeral.

Posting on the fundraiser, distraught Elizabeth said her pal had a “heart of gold”.

The friend went on: “She loved fashion and was very healthy. She was spontaneous and knew how to make you laugh.

“She was an amazing musician and many times would sit down to make music for fun and relaxation alone and with friends.

“So, what happened to this kind, loving, talented and beautiful young woman?”

The probe into her death continues.
